Here is where I’ll be posting about any tabletop games I’ve been playing.
The first one will be Arkham Horror: The Card Game, but I am planning on a Lord of the Rings one too, as well as Star Trek: Frontiers and/or Mage Knight, Halls of Hegra, Brass: Birmingham, Obsession, Spirit Island, Heat: Medal to the Metal, Marvel Champions etc.
Basically a bunch of solo games because multiplayer games require another human.
I know, right?
Hold onto your socks lest they be blown clear from your body.
As writing is hard, and recording what happens in each round is massively time-consuming, this page will be updated slowly.
Here’s the list of ones that I have actually written more than nothing about:
More to come. Maybe.

WORK IN PROGRESS - I have played the scenario and just need to write it up Another Arkham Horror playthrough!
I’ve had to call this one Night of the Zealot 2 because I didn’t think I’d replay campaigns, but I am, and nobody is reading this anyway, so it doesn’t matter.
Last time I played a “true solo” campaign of Night of the Zealot as Roland Banks. It was pretty challenging and also entertaining. I still remember the broader strokes of that game without re-reading the posts themselves.

We are into the final scenario of the starter set; The Devourer Below. I suspect there will be some kind of devouring taking place under the ground, but I don’t want to spoil too much.

The last scenario went pretty well, though in hindsight it would have been better to have prevented Lita Chantler from burning my house down.

I have many problems in my life. Here is a short list off the top of my head:
Sleeping at a slightly different angle cripples my neck and back for days1 Thinking about the wrong thing while trying to get to sleep will prolong wakefulness by exactly one night2 Eating without having taken a magic pill with trigger my body to start dissolving itself3 Very interested in binge watching TV series but do not seem to enjoy the actual watching4 But another of them is the inability to stop buying board games. This time I decided I would stop subjecting others in my life to this obsession of mine. I have never understood why I find it difficult to commit to a single one-hour long episode of a TV show, but have no problem spending four hours on a board-game, but that is just the way of things.

This post was a lot longer than I thought. Maybe I should have split it into different pages. Never mind, here’s a kind of table of contents instead:

What is Arkham Horror?
As far as I can tell, it is a very expensive, complicated, and difficult card-based RPG where you play an investigator in the 1920’s getting caught up in all sorts of Lovecraftian shenanigans.
So what are you waiting for?
