I am starting a YOUTUBE BOARDGAMING CHANNEL!
Yes, you read that correctly, nobody.
I have decided that I have a lot of games that I want to play, but my simply playing them on my own in the evening, and then putting them away afterwards, was not rewarding enough. I was feeling as though I had wasted my time. I am aware of the old adage that “time you enjoyed wasting is not wasted time”, but that doesn’t ring true for me.
Perhaps a better way of looking at the situation is that I could enhance my enjoyment of solo board gaming if I were creating content from it as well?
You can probably see littered throughout this blog various attempts I have made to blog about my solo boardgaming. I wrote something about Fate of the Fellowship back in August last year, and after spending a ridiculous amount of time taking notes of what I had done, and an even longer time reading those notes back and converting them into a write-up, the result was … underwhelming.
That is why this time it will be different. I have already had two goes at recording and have achieved something that isn’t entirely bad. The video looks fine, the audio sounds ok, and I am getting fairly average at using DaVinci Resolve.
So, stay tuned for some videos.
